Richarlison did, however, take in 152 appearances for Everton between 2018 and 2022, scoring 53 goals, and was eager to make the most of his final outing at Goodison before the Toffees move into their impressive new stadium next season.
Richarlison posted on social media, after seeing his decision to stroll around an iconic venue by himself called into question: “I feel very fulfilled for all the 83 times I’ve stepped onto this pitch. Where I played the most and scored the most goals in my entire career. Today, for the last time. Thank you, Goodison Park!”
